What the calculator computes
For a vote vector, the spend is the sum of squared intensities, so a support value of 2 and an opposition value of -1 cost 5 voice credits in total.
The sign shows support or opposition, while cost depends on magnitude. Support and opposition are symmetric in the budget calculation.
How to use the result
If total spend is inside the voice budget, the vector is feasible. If it exceeds the budget, the participant would need to reduce at least one intensity.
The calculator is educational. A full Nicolas decision still adds participants, delegation, aggregate support, and outcome probabilities.
